Get Creative!

Join us to create a new craft  while getting to know other members.  Each participant brings their own supplies according to a previously provided list.   All artistic levels are welcome.

This group meets quarterly from 6:30 - 8:30pm in The Lakeview Room.

So fun we play two times a month!

Samba is a popular card game similar to Canasta but more challenging and a lot of fun.  It is played with tables of 3 or 4 players using 11 decks of cards.  Each table needs a card shuffler and a rotating card holder and each player will use a rack to organize their own cards.

Samba plays 2nd and 4th Monday of the month 1:00 - 4:00 pm in the Lakeview Room.

Discuss a different book each month!  

Join other members in group discussion.  Each meeting is led by a facilitator to introduce the book and author then continue with a more intimate discussion of the book and its characters. 

It's a wonderful way to get to know other Hampton Lake women.

This group meets the 4th Monday of the month from 7-9pm in Lakeview.

Play American Mahjong!

Anyone interested in joining members to play or learn to play Mahjong is invited to join the group.

Daytime Mahjong plays the 1st and 3rd Monday from 1- 4pm in the Lakeside Porch and the 2nd and 4th Monday from 1-4pm in The Boathouse Room.

Share your interest! Share your talent!

Needlepoint, knit, crochet and quilt with others who enjoy the same thing.  Bring your project and join other HLWG women for friendship, encouragement and problem solving.

This is the group for you if you are a traditional scrapbooker, a digital scrapbooker, a card maker or just getting started. 

Our members bring their own projects or can make cards designed especially for our group with kits available.

Find Your Roots!

Join other members to learn tools and tips for exploring and compiling your personal family history. This is an opportunity to work on your existing family tree or start a new exploration. 

This group meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month from   1:00 - 3:00 pm in The Boathouse Room.

Join other HL women for lunch at various local restaurants. The Lunch Bunch meets on the third Thursday of every month. The group is open to all HLWG members who enjoy spending an afternoon out discovering new restaurants or visiting local favorites. *Chairpersons Debby Hege and Rosie Oswald

There is no better way to experience the haunted history of Beaufort than in the comfort of a horse-drawn carriage. The HLWG Social Committee  has put together a spooky evening guided ghost tour through historic downtown Beaufort on Sunday, October 25th starting at 7:00 PM, in coordination with Beaufort CAPA, who runs these tours every year. You’ll hear the stories, legends and haunted tales that have made Beaufort one of the Southern most fascinating - and supposedly haunted - towns.
In order to reserve seats on the carriages for our members, we need to know if you are interested in attending by way of pre-registration by August 30th. If you would like to join us, please let us know now so we can get a count for the tour provider. Once we fill up the first 40 seats, we’ll start a waiting list and if we can fill another carriage, we’ll try to add one on! The cost is $30 per person, which you will pay directly to CAPA once we have the carriages fully reserved for our group. Further instructions will follow after September 15th.
